Day 1
Bayangobi – Nomadic Show and Camel Riding

Depart from Ulaanbaatar and travel to Bayangobi, a semi-desert region where the steppe meets the sand dunes. Upon arrival, watch a Mongol Nomadic Show that demonstrates traditional herding practices, yurt assembly, and daily life of nomadic families. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel ride across the small dunes and open plains. Overnight stay in a ger camp surrounded by the Khugnu Khan Mountains.

Day 2
Orkhon Waterfall and Mongolian Cooking Lesson

Drive to the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its natural beauty and cultural significance. Visit the Orkhon Waterfall, one of the most scenic spots in central Mongolia, and take time to walk around the river valley. In the afternoon, join a Mongolian cooking class, where you will prepare traditional dishes such as buuz or khuushuur alongside local hosts. Overnight in a ger camp near the waterfall.

Day 3
Tovkhon Monastery in the Khangai Mountains

After breakfast, travel into the forested Khangai Mountains and hike up to Tovkhon Monastery, founded in the 17th century by Zanabazar, Mongolia’s first Buddhist leader. The trail offers views of the surrounding valleys and pine-covered hills. Spend some quiet time exploring the monastery grounds before returning to your camp for dinner and rest.

Day 4
Relaxation at Tsenher Hot Springs

Drive to Tsenher Hot Springs, a peaceful valley known for its natural thermal waters. Upon arrival, settle into a ger camp with access to outdoor hot spring baths. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the warm pools, taking a short walk in the surrounding forest, or visiting nearby nomadic families. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5
Discover Tsetserleg’s Cultural Heritage and Local Market

Head to Tsetserleg, the capital of Arkhangai Province. Visit the Zaya Gegeen Monastery Museum, which provides insight into regional Buddhist traditions and history. Afterwards, explore the local market, where vendors sell dairy products, felt crafts, and handmade goods. Enjoy lunch in a local café before returning to your accommodation for the night.

Day 6
Visit Terkh White Lake and Taikhar Rock

Travel towards Terkh White Lake (Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur), a freshwater lake formed by volcanic activity. On the way, stop at Taikhar Rock, a large granite boulder with ancient inscriptions that holds local legends. Continue to your ger camp near the lake and take time to walk along the shoreline or observe local birdlife before dinner.

Day 7
Hike Khorgo Crater and Enjoy Terkh White Lake

After breakfast, set out to Khorgo Volcano, located near the eastern shore of the lake. Take a moderate hike to the crater rim for views of the surrounding lava fields and highland scenery. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the lake or taking a short horse ride in the nearby meadows. Overnight at the same camp.

Day 8
Kharkhorin – Erdenezuu Monastery and Museum

Drive to Kharkhorin, the site of ancient Karakorum, once the capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdenezuu Monastery, built in the 16th century with stones from the old city. Then explore the Kharkhorin Museum, which displays archaeological artifacts and exhibits about the Mongol Empire’s history. Stay overnight in a local ger camp.

Day 9
Khustai National Park – Przewalski’s Horses

Travel to Khustai National Park, home to the reintroduced Przewalski’s horse (takhi), Mongolia’s native wild horse species. Take a guided drive into the park to observe these animals in their natural habitat, along with marmots and red deer. Overnight in a nearby ger camp.

Day 10
0 Return to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your departure.
